Data Recovery & Data Backup

Have you lost your data due to deletion or a defective storage device?

On Net On Cosmos | PCW.GR we can recover your data after it has been deleted from the hard drive or due to a hard drive problem.

Data recovery.

Data retrieval is an extremely specialized process which should be done only by specialized technicians. Its effectiveness and cost depends on the level of corruption of the storage device (mechanical or physical damages).

If the storage device has not suffered a mechanical or physical damage and the data it contains has been lost due to their deletion or a problem in the operating system (software errors, virus attacks), then data retrieval is a procedure which usually has positive results and relatively low cost.

If, however, the storage device has suffered a mechanical or physical damage and part or parts of it are damaged, then retrieving the data is a hard and frequently financially unprofitable process and depends on the type of damage, the time necessary for the retrieval process and the size and importance of your data.

In any case we are by your side to assess the problem and advise you on what can be done.

Data Back up.

Our data is valuable, let’s not forget it. With the assistance of one of our expert technicians, learn how to create and maintain up-to-date security copies of your data, at low cost and of course automatically with the use of proper and reliable programs. Additionally, if you own a business with multiple computers, we can show you how to secure your data through the use of automated processes and storage methods.

What can you do to avoid losing your files?

In order not to find yourself in the very unpleasant position of losing your data, you must do at least one of the following:

  • Keep up-to-date copies of your important files on more than one storage medium (eg on your computer and on a USB stick or external hard drive).
  • Keep up-to-date backups of your data on more than one computer.
  • Store your files in the cloud. (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
How can you tell if there is a problem with your computer’s hard drive?

If your computer operates slowly or you hear a strange noise coming from within, this could mean that the hard drive has a problem.
If you can, try to take copies of your files on a different storage device (for example an external USB drive) and then contact, as soon as possible, our specialized technician in order to retrieve your data and proceed with the examination and replacement of the damaged storage device.
